And I doubt you will hear much whinig on here it was an exciting game and Texas should have better prepared Gilbert is all

LOL @ all of the haters whose teams didn't even make it to the Championship game and decided to take it out on UT.
99.9% of the UT fans aren't whining about what you are saying they are whining about (regardless about how true it might have been), but you've shown your whining here...
It was a great game tonight and the better team won. Texas's Defense looked great, but their offense took too long to adjust to get going.
rsilva loses at life, even though he's a great poster on these forums.

Yes Gilbert is that very one....we will see though Colt was a damn good college QB, suprised on a sprain he didnt go out with a bangbut he has to worry about his so called pro career
I liked seeing Gilbert grow some better for the team next year he moved the ball well on a great defense

McCoy's "pro career" will probably be short with limited action, but a team will draft him and he'll make some money on his current draft position. I'm a bit disappointed too that he took the path (or at least seemed to) that more and more athletes take when faced with the possibility of so much money coming their way from the NFL. Who knows what his injury really was, though...

If you went to UT or grew up in Austin, congrats on the great season. Would have loved to see this game played with a healthy Colt McCoy. To the t-shirt D-bag no affiliation to UT fans aka 78% of UT "fans."  |

Why is it that people consider you a tshirt fan of a school if you did not attend that school? I could understand if all Universities were like community colleges and anyone could enroll anywhere, but they aren't. You have to have the grades and test scores that are good enough, and dammit, there are a lot more people turned down by schools like Texas than people who are accepted.
Texas is a state university, and the assertion that only people from Austin and people who attended UT should root for that school is ludicrous. I've been cheering on the Longhorns since I was a kid. I remember getting a throwback Earl Campbell jersey for Christmas when I was 11 and wearing it all the time. I love UT football like I loved the Oilers and now the Texans, and I find it insulting that someone might suggest I have no business rooting for them because my shitty grades in high school didn't afford me the opportunity to go to the school I wanted to.
And another thing, I think it's a sorry group of mother fuckers that root against a school that's representing their home state in a national title game, regardless of affiliation and normal rooting interest. I though UT and A&M had a better, cleaner rivalry than that, but I guess I was wrong. I'll be looking forward to next November, Ags. Hopefully both our teams go into thanksgiving undefeated, as it should be.
